Today's cue was car. I was going to take a picture of my car, because in conjunction with Jeep-spotting on the way to school in the morning, we have also added Honda-spotting. I thought a big pic of the Honda symbol would be nice to remember that by. But it would also involve backing the car up into the driveway to get the shot I was wanting, and quite frankly, after E had no nap today, I'm too tired for any extra effort. But I remembered the salt & pepper shakers D&P got us when they went to New York City (to get engaged or right after they got engaged?) 9-10 years ago & thought they'd be a cute shot. They sit on my counter, right next to the stove, which explains the tile background!
This is our Good Manners Sign. We're trying to work on these with our boys (3 & 4 years old). They do great with some of them, and we're still working on others (they still interrupt, but they say excuse me while interrupting!). If everyone in the world followed these good manners, I'm sure it'd be a nicer place.
Today, the picture was fork. Thankfully I just snapped one of the fork on my kitchen counter. Fortunately for all, there was also a staple gun & bat hooks on the counter with said fork. What's on your kitchen counter?
This is right after a marathon of "jump on Daddy"...plus Elsie running around barking at them. It is almost always loud at our house!
This day was a little harder - we have a ton of red stuff at our house, yet none of it was really "picture worthy". Then on the way to school, I noticed a lot of other red stuff: an old horse trailer beside a run down house, a freshly painted fire hydrant, stop signs, yield signs, firetrucks at the fire station. But it was rainy in the morning, & I had 3 kids in the car, & had to get E to school, so I needed something easy. So we get a picture of AR's blocks, which is kind of appropriate - toys are all over our house (3 kids, under 5 years old = Toys R Us explosion!)
